There's a question that bothers me.

When a companion is on a date with a lady, who is expected to pay for what? I'm thinking about small expenses like cabs, museum/theater entries, drinks, coffees, etc. And a bit bigger expenses like meals or excursions.

Does the companion pay to be gallant? Does the lady pay because she's the patron? Does each one pay its share so that there's no disparity?

I know those are shallow matters but I'm guessing it's the kind of details that can create ambiguity, confusion, and in the end discomfort and embarrassment, and that can spoil an otherwise pleasing date.

Thanks for enlightening me.

No one right answer, but I'll give it a shot.

In general the patron pays. An option that I offer - as do other companions - is for the lady to give me before the date an amount of money that should cover the expenses for the night and I then pay for various events out of those funds. On the rare occasions when the funds didn't quite cover everything I did cover the extra on my own. When the funds exceeded the expenses and I was given cash right before the date I always made sure to return the difference; if the funds had been provided ahead of time I credited the remainder to expenses for a subsequent date. Truth is that IMO there has never been a large difference between funds provided and the expenses.

Are there times that you might want to pickup the tab for coffee or drinks? Sure. Again IMO no lady has ever objected.

Hope this helps, at least a little.

Alex

I'd rather have you spring from the cake. In a catwoman outfit, licking whipped cream from the tip of your finger.

In my companionship providing experience, there has been no circumstance where I have ever paid for anything out of my pocket.  It is stated on my website, "The donations corresponding to the menu items are for my services only.  Additional considerations for the cost of travel, food, beverages or other expenses, as part of our experience, will need to be included."

It is regular practice for a client to know and understand that any expense associated with the companionship experience is incumbent upon them to pay for.  While offering to pay for things yourself is a noble gesture, it is not expected, or at least has never been expected of me.  In fact, I don't know a client that would have even let me pay if I had offered.

I concur, but I am guilty of carrying a bottle of wine for one repeat client that always insisted on giving me a glass of wine as I entered the door!

Unprofessional I know.

The ground rule is that the lady pays for all expenses.
But of course there are exceptions. I mean, she pays good money for my companionship, so I don't like to be petty and insist on her paying on every cup of joe. Nothing would happen to me if I end the meeting with $10 less in my pocket, but I would gain a happier and more satisfied customer.
In addition, when a lady asks for my massage services, I would always bring a good bottle of wine (red or white, as per her preferences), a few scented candles and a sealed bottle of aromatic, high quality, massage oil, all of are complimentary and are hers to keep.
