Happy New Year, everyone!

Although it was a bit of a difficult year for me, 2014 has given me so much that I have to celebrate it!  However, I am also excited to see what the new year will bring.

I gave up on resolutions a few years ago, when I realized they would all be broken before the end of the month, no matter how disciplined I promised myself I would be. Instead, I now choose a word that will be my mantra for the year.  It's a concept I borrowed from a few bloggers I read (who, in turn borrowed it from bloggers they read, etc) and I have found it to be a much more productive starting point for me, each year.

This year, my word is "pursuit." Reflecting on the past few years, I realize that I've let myself become too lax and comfortable with the status quo and that will just not do.  It's time for me to move forward and pursue the life I want.  The very idea scares me, so I know it's the right decision ;)

I would love to hear what you all hope 2015 will bring.

I like this idea, Tealight.  For 2015 my word is "BOLD".  I want to be bold in absolutely everything I do.  I am going to treat everything I want as if it is already mine.  I want everything to make an impact.

@Tealight: Pursuit as in pursue a companion? :) As far as resolutions go you certainly were more optimistic than I have been. I probably gave up on them before college lol

Happy New Year all

Happy new year, from Seattle.

2014 was mixed. Lots of highs, some troubling lows. I'll happily take the rough with the beautiful, but hoping for more beautiful in the new year!

Is it my imagination, or am I seeing a pattern emerge that 2014 wasn't the most stellar of years for many of us?

If today is a portend of things to come, then I'm confident that this year will be as fraught with challenges as was last. That's okay, as there were ample successes and beautiful moments, too.

Happy New Year

Happy new year everyone. I hope 2015 brings you all that you desire & much more.

I find that it's extremely helpful and important to have the right mindset. One that visualizes the successful outcome that is desired instead of the current circumstances. Then you win whether or not you get the desired outcome simply because you took action and learned something along the way.

Some people put it this way "The journey is more important than the destination".

@Tealight
It sounds like you are taking action so congrats to you and everyone else who does so.

Happy New Year, Everyone!

I have started working on my 2015 entertainment budget. I'm hoping for Cuba and Savannah, GA. Not together, though.
Where are some of you looking at for this year?
