Do I have to have an operation?

Just kidding!!

Thought I would start a topic in here, though.

  • Where does a guy start?
  • How did you start?
  • When did you discover this is what you wanted to do?
  • If you have been doing this for a while, how is it different than you imagined before you started?
  • What was your most difficult challenge?

Hi

As men you don't really think there is any woman out there that will actually hire a companion or maybe I was just naive but the thought and idea of being a male companion has crossed my mind and I have been toying with the idea for a few years but never really looked into it till this happened to me and this is 100% the truth.

This is my story I have also posted this on my personal blog

http://stormastor.wordpress.com/

Its a vicious circle Life and also a very exciting one all depending on what you want out of it.  You can either go with the flow as they say and join the mad rush 9 to 5 working hours and get stuck in the rat race of your every day man and woman out there, or you can open your eyes and see what life has to offer take the plunge and do something different in todays time and age.  That is exactly what I did.

Sitting on the train in the morning rush hour looking at all the people around me I realise how alike they all are.  Reading newspapers, listening to I-pods, tapping away on laptops, someone whispering on their mobile phone I am on the train I cant really talk right now all crammed in like a can of Sardines.  Irritated with myself and thinking am I happy with my job?  How many of the people on this train on this carriage with me can really stick their hands up and say I am happy and I get 100% job satisfaction out of what I do?  I estimated by the look on the faces not even 15% looked remotely excited about where they were going.  Apart from the couple in the corner who cant keep their hands of  each other and  so blatantly had a wild night of passion and probably only met last week.  AGHHH young love!

Sitting opposite me is a mid 30 business woman reading the Financial times.  Looking at her I can see she is successful in what ever it is she does, dressed in a smart suite not a hair out of place and there is a sparkle in her eye.  I notice she has no wedding ring or engagement ring on her finger.  I try to catch her eye in a silly attempt to try and find out what it is she does for a living, but failed miserably when she eventually looked up and I caught an image of myself in the train window and realised I was actually staring at her.   I looked away and pretended to get my phone out and make a call to distract from the fact that I was so obviously looking at her for the past 5 minutes.  She gave me a glimpse of a smile and handed me her business card as she got out the next stop.   I looked at the card and then back up at her but she was gone, disappeared into the crowd.

All sorts of thoughts ran through my head am I going to ring her, should I text her?  Why did she give me her card.

That evening I decided to call her.  Hello this is Storm I uhm I saw you on the train this morning you gave me your card  Hi yes hello.  I have an invitation for you she replied.  How would you like to join me this Saturday night for an event at the Savoy Hotel all on my account.  I said yes off course what did you think?

It was that ordinary morning on a packed train into London my next chapter started

Yes, Storm...tell us what happened next! Did she tell two friends, and so on? How was your engagement? Did you feel like a natural?  ;D

Hi you all

Ok So I am back and for those of you have missed me I promise I wont leave you again for such a long period ever again!!  For those who haven't missed me, tell me why not ha ha ...

OK so lets pick it up from where it finished as a cliff hanger on the last post.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

So there I was sitting on that train a little flustered by this woman that took my breath away and she just popped this card into my hand with her contact details on.  You all know by now I did call her and I went on this date with her, and I can say with all honesty, its what every guy out there dream about no matter what they say.

It was about 2 weeks after the event I got a call from lets call her Suzie, and she wanted to know if I was around to go on a business trip with her to NYC!? It was no big deal according to her after all I was just going with her as a very close friend who she travels with for company and I will be joining her for lunches and dinners with her work associates so she don't look like the odd one out with out a date.  Perfect I thought to myself NYC its home to the Yankees and the NYPD for Gods sake live the dream baby its like a Holywood movie.

I wont be going into to much detail about NYC, only because there is something in the pipeline and I might be writing more than just a blog for you and me to share for now.  But I can say OH MY GOD I have had a great time out there with the Yanks.  God Bless America!!

Till the next Chapter

Hey Storm. It sounds like you've created your very own online romance thread for the ladies here. ;) I can just see the cover of the romance novel now. The role of Fabio, played by Storm Astor shows a sketch of a dashing, devilishly handsome South African steering a Gondola through the canals of Venice, serenading and wooing his patronesses.  :)

Ill answer the question on what gave me the idea of wanting to be a companion.

A long, long time ago I was dating a Spanish woman. We just had sex and she went to the bathroom. I was browsing round her room curiously when I came upon her bookshelf. There was this deep purple book, I read the side: Pablo Neruda The Captains Verses.

Intrigued I flicked through the pages and came upon a fictional letter which precedes the poems. The note speaks of a passionate womans love for a man who came from a war in Spain. When I finally finished reading the book I knew I wanted to become a man like this. Perhaps not immediately, but the seeds for growth were there.

I cant post the whole letter but the following passage stood out for me:

Quote
Siento no poder dar su nombre. Nunca he sabido cul era el verdadero, si Martnez, Ramrez o Snchez.

Quote
Unfortunately I cannot tell you his name. I never found out which was the true one, Martinez, Ramirez, or Sanchez. I just call him my Captain, and that is the name I would like to keep in this book.

His verses are like himself: tender, loving, passionate and terrible in anger. He was strong, and everyone who came near him felt his strength. He was a privileged man, one born for a great destiny. I felt his strength, and my greatest pleasure was to feel small at his side.

He came into my life, as he says in one of the verses breaking down the door. He did not knock on the door with the shyness of a lover. From the first moment he felt himself lord of my body and my soul. He made me feel that he was changing everything in my life; my little artists life of comfort and softness was transformed like everything else he touched.

He knew no small feelings and accepted none neither. He gave me his love with all the passion that he was capable of feeling, and I loved him as I never thought myself capable of loving. Everything in my life was transformed. I entered a world whose existence I had never previously dreamt of. At first I was afraid, I had moments of doubt, but love did not let me hesitate long.

This love gave me everything. The gentle, simple tenderness when he picked out a flower, a toy, a river pebble and handed it to me, his eyes moist with infinite tenderness. His large hands were at this moment soft and gentle, and in his eyes could be seen the soul of a child.

That's so romantic! I Love Pablo Neruda, and the only book I have is the Captain's Verses. (Mine is only in English.) It was a graduation gift when I achieved my BA from a dear friend.

Do you feel you've become that man?

Mmmmm...thought provoking quesion Holly. There's always something one can learn or refine in his character as time passes, it's a learning experience. I'd like to think that if a patron was to see me on multiple occasions they would learn something new about me or that I've 'peeled a layer of the onion away' each time.

Lets just say I changed a little since we shared a meal together  ;).
