On my 30th birthday I decided that I would try and start every morning, for the rest of my life, with music. I have found that beginning your day, dancing around the room in your underwear (or less) sets everything off on a good note. :) I try and keep it fun; Stevie Wonder, or the Jackson 5. When I'm spending the day in a suit ;) , I move to jazz; Brubeck, Miles Davis. If it's just one of those days you know is going to be bad, I skip the stereo, pick the guitar, and try and work out a tune.

So far...it has been awesome! :) I generally have a song running through my head for a few hours, and my neighbors get to watch me dance around like an idiot. :P

For the last few days I have been stuck on this music video, and thought I would share. Turn up the volume, and get ready to smile. :)

I hope you enjoy.

Good morning,

Happy Birthday Smith.

In keeping with my terpsichorean abilities ??? I find that the appropriately named Tortoise does the a.m. trick for me (sweet dissonance.)

And no one gets to see me dance!

Incidentally I have found that Bach's Air On A G String has ensured a character and quality / meaning I feel fairly sure Johann had not quite envisaged.

Storm, that either makes you one year old ... or else if you did you'd get older twice as fast!  :o ^-^

So... to hell with it.. you get what you want. Happy Birthday to Storm as well.  /cheers  ;)

I didn't grow up with with birthday kisses, we had birthday spankings.  I think thisests altogether too much about my learned experiences, don't you?

So, we know that Smith likes Ben Harper in the morning.  What does everybody else like?  What songs have you bopping away in your car, or on the tram/underground on your way to work??

Great morning tunes are those ones that have you tapping your feet uncontrollably or dancing around the house while you make brekkie.

My favourites include these;

and an oldie one, but a favourite
