It is always amusing (sad?) to hear comments like some on this article.  People who are so sure that they know exactly why other people do what they do, or want what they want.  And that it is all so wrong and they should get a life etc etc.

Walk a mile in my (our) shoes and you might just get a glimpse of the complexity of human society, of people's needs, and feelings.

There is always a risk talking to the press.  Still, if it helps to raise the profile of the industry, then it may be worth it.

I think that a lot of people are curious about male escorts and hopefully the ones who are genuinely looking for what we offer will see though the journalistic non-sense and the crazy comments.  Here's hoping anyway :)

I read through the public's comments. By heavens there does seem to be some odd but eternally perpetuated ideas. I particularly liked that bit about how men are able to have sex without love (bollocks! IMHO) and women cannot (which makes me wonder about female providers...) The bit about women and love does vary considerably I know. But "cannot" is a tad to definite for something so braoad, deep and intangible.

Just to get my 10c in (our lowest form of currrency btw) this bit about love goes with the lady's comment about guys being unattractive generally.... Well, the love you get may not be for you, but it gets itself expressed. Someone might just be in the way....

The relationship world does seem to be a tangle where time, desire, drive, exchange places with mental atrophy. emotional stagnation and physiucal depletion. Well thank god for booze, were it not for the above intoxicants where would many of us be. For starters there would be so much less of us...

That one about commodifying... sorry but EVERYONE commodifies their time. Wages, salaries, rotyalties, commissions, whatever. And someone expects results for this standard exchange.

And that one about women can get laid for free. One of my more recent clients (23) was appalled at the "social facism" (my term, her very definite agreement) of her fellow females virtually insisting she "had" to do as they (peer group) do; run the lottery of nightclub unrequited lust and love and hope it all goes so swimmingly it might be worth another go. This is the best option for women. Never mind escortry the chauvinists and feminists oddly agree that Friday night choices are best for women.

Sorry but the lack of imagination by so many people, the natural caution, the decision on what's attractive and what's not, and insistence that everyone conform to some norm (which few seem to like anyway) makes today's social get together model about as relevant as that of the rapidly disappearing CD industry.

The press as ever have about as much insight and imparted wisdom as a blind tooth fairy.

Time to think awhile perhaps? Relax for a few hours with a chap who will do his utmost as and when and never mind why.  /makeout
